G7 for Wasatch SoftRIP
Since Version 7.2, Wasatch SoftRIP directly supports importing CGATS files created by Curve2™ and Curve3™ software. This software calculates G7® and TVI calibration. Within Wasatch SoftRIP, this calibration can be placed into one of three different locations, the Calibration Curves, Press Curves, or Correction Curves depending on your workflow.
G7® is a method for matching colors across multiple printers so they are visually consistent. The G7® method balances the printed grayscale so it appears neutral. TVI is a method for compensating for unwanted dot gain or tone value increase.
For Wasatch versions prior to 7.2, VistaLogics provides a free program that supports importing CGATS files created by Curve2™ and Curve3. Click here to access the program and documentation.
